The map/archive of police violence on the Film The Police platform includes audiovisual material depicting police violence and repression carried out by the Hellenic Police.

Each mapped incident is linked to a reliable primary source.

During the verification process, we are in direct communication with the primary source. Each incident is geolocated based on visual evidence contained in the material and contextual information from open sources, and time-located using cross-checked information from open sources.

When publishing, we present the audiovisual material with an explanatory description and tags that highlight patterns in the actions of the Hellenic Police. The material published on the platform is processed and anonymised to avoid exposing or targeting private individuals; this may include blurring faces and distorting voices.

To maximise the quality of the primary audiovisual material submitted to the platform, we have developed the Film The Police educational guide, whose content is also shared through in-person workshops held at regular intervals.
